Peter Duncan’s passion for design, architecture
and exterior landscaping led to his LAT certification from NAIT
in 1988. After working for two years as a Landscape Designer
for a major landscape contracting company in Toronto, Peter
formed his own business in 1990 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Honing his skills in design and construction installation on
public and private commissions, Second Nature moved operations
to Peter’s home town of Edmonton in 1999 where it continues
to flourish based on reputation today.
Projects of recognition include The Shaughnessy Nunnery (now
a condominium residence), The Kitsilano Condominium Project,
Belgravia Community League Park and numerous private homes in
Edmonton and Vancouver. Second Nature employs skilled and experienced
craftsmen in both hard and soft landscape construction, offering
clients over 30 years of combined experience in design and installation.
In 2005, Second Nature began construction on a new shop facility
in south Edmonton. To meet the demands of a growing industry,
the shop will house exclusive materials, custom manufactured
landscape structures and incomparable garden features to expand
the possibilities of landscape architectural design in Edmonton.
Second Nature strives to exceed client expectations through
innovative concepts, forward thinking design and the incorporation
of unique features that bridge the landscape with existing architecture
to create an all encompassing distinctive living environment.
Whatever your needs are Second Nature will assist in transforming
your unique vision.
